Joyce & Gigi’s Kitchen Brings Culinary Influence From Best of Dallas and San Sebastián

Gigi Aguilera

My favorite Bolivian restaurant, actually modern South American cuisine by chef Gigi Aguilera brings the influence from her work with Dean Fearing at Fearing’s in Downtown Dallas and chef Martín Berasategui at his three star resaurant in San Sebastián, Spain. The care of a chef owned restaurant along with delicious food and a smart presentation was a perfect place for a celebration in Carole Young’s honor. Jim and Carole Young, Preston Hollow residents, are co-founders of TedxSMU and are great Dallas civic leaders with an international influence.

Joyce & Gigi’s Kitchen exemplifies the enduring revitalization and stylish evolution of Old East Dallas as it merges with Downtown Dallas located at 1623 N. Hall St., Dallas, TX. 75204.

Cafe Pacific 33 Anniversary

Congratulations to Jack Knox for creating Cafe Pacific, THE Dallas restaurant for 33 years. The epi center of Highland Park Village; home away from home; for iconic Dallasites; and for all those who seek the best food and service. Thank you, Jack Knox, for the joy you bring to your old friends and those just arriving in Dallas. And the elegant and generous Jack Knox has provided a 1980 menu with 1980 prices tonight, with all proceeds going to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. Wishing Jack Knox and Cafe Pacific many more decades of great success.

Lunch at Rosemont reflects the vision of Deep Elm 25 years ago. A few more places like this and the area will have arrived.

Patios have always been my favorite, balconies are even better. Stack house
Overlook the historic Swiss Avenue homes of the Wilson block, downtown Dallas with luminaries like Mariana Green and Jim Schutze at a table nearby. Great neighborhood restaurant.
